Day 30: Down Town

Today I had decided to dedicate the day to studying, so I woke up early and began reading but at 11pm Margaret, the Gozitan here on P.E.I doing her Masters called to ask us if we wanted to meet her downtown and she would take us round. I couldn't resist, I really wanted to go and and soon it will be too cold to go walking so we went. At 12pm we left and got there at 12.40, it was a nice walk. Anyway, she took us to the library, the shopping mall and the Anne of Green Gables souvenir shop. I really did enjot it, but my favourite part was going back to uni on the bus. It is so sweet, it's vintage and on the inside the seats are park benches! I really enjoyed it and the bus driver was so nice and friendly too. Anyway we got back to uni, had lunch and I went to meet some friends for a presentation which is almost done. Then I went back to the flat and read for quite a while. We then decided to watch the DVD 'Shall we Dance?'... it was amazing and I was dying to get up and go dancing by the end of it but there is nowhere to go in walking distance so we just listened to some music and now I'm off to bed cause it's 1.15am. Anyway, not too sure what I'm up to tomorrow, we'll see.

Day 29: New Things!!

Today was a fun day; I did a few things out of the norm and I enjoyed it. I decided to give myself a relaxed day today after the week I had so that tomorrow I can concentrate on really working hard again. I woke up this morning and did some reading and then met a few people in my course to prepare a presentation for next week. Then we went for lunch and did some more reading till about 5pm. Then we decided to go to the gym as we have free access to the gym close by and it is great with a pool, ice-skating rink and everything! So off we went and I tried quite a few of those machines ... really cool! Hopefully I'll start going everyday now. Anyway, after that we decided to go to Tim Hortons for some tea. It was freezing outside and raining but we wrapped up warmly and went. It was good fun and Karl went photo crazy, hence the guzzillions of pics I posted. We rented Mr.&Mrs. Smith on the way back and we just watched it now... quite good but not brill to be honest. Anyway off to bed now, hope you enjoy the pics!

Day 28: One month today!!

I can't believe it, I have been in Canada one month today... it's crazy how time is flying. Exactly today, twelve weeks and I'm back! Oh well! Anyway today I woke up, though I could hardly crawl out of bed cause I was exhausted and went to my lecture. Then I met with a group from my course as we have to prepare a presentation and I enjoyed it so much. We are preparing a really fun presentation with DVD's, power point, charts and even taking the class out into the grounds to give them a lesson in a Gazebo in the park. It should be really good (I Hope!) After that I went to mass and then we went for lunch were I had Hawaian Chicken and ricea and it was lovely with pineapple and some sweet suace... lovely! Then Karl and I went to the Super Store for some groceries and as usual I went crazy, it is so big and there is so much to see that it is hard choosing what to buy and not buying what you don't need! Anyway I managed. Then we went back to Residence and just spent a relaxing evening watching some T.V and chatting. I just watched a brand new episode of C.S.I... great! Anyway tomorrow it's back to the books!

Day 27: Test!

Today was the day... it came... the famous test arrived. I went in in fear and trembling and I have to admit that I came out not too pleased with myself. I don't know why, but I blanked and then things did start coming back to me but still I am a bit disappointed, but anyway we'll see when the results come out now. Time is going by so fast though. Tomorrow I will have been here for a month already, a month!! It's crazy!! Next weekend I am going to Toronto for the Thanksgiving weekend and I am really looking forward to it. I will be staying with Ron & Joyce, two very dear friends, and I can't wait to meet their gorgeous grand daughter either!! Oh well. It's been a long day today but it's over now and I am looking forward to a good night's sleep not worrying about the test. Th weather has got a bit colder here so we are wrapping up a bit more than usual, can't wait for the snow now!!

Day 26: " A beautifully powerful piece of work..."

This phrase was the highlight of my day. It is the first part of a long write up that my lecturer wrote for me at the back of an assignment I gave in last week. It is the first feedback I have received while here at the university, and I have to admit that I am really pleased... on top of the world to be exact! :) Today was another full day of studying. As my test approaches tomorrow I am becoming more and more nervous, but I have done all I can and only hope it will pay off now. Once it is over, I can settle down to other stuff of which there is loads but at least I enjoy it and understand it, linguistics on the otherhand I never did. Oh well!! Never mind... as my dear friend Andrew commented in yesterday's blog... everything in this life will pass... it's the first 100 years that are the worst :) Goodnight everybody xxx

Day 25: Help... Linguistics!

Oh my goodness... my brain is numb. I have a linguistics and English language history test on Wednesday and I feel like I need at least another week if I want to get anywhere close to passing, but I don't so I am trying to fit it all in in the few days I have... ok DAY I have left now. I just got off my desk now, have been there for 7 hours straight and now I can hardly see. I can't stand linguistics and all those symbols. Anyway, today that is basically all I did. Studied this morning, went to lectures in the afternoon, and then back to studying this evening. Oh, and I did my laundry too and once again... perfect... no comments Simon please!! Anyway off to bed, it's 1.30 am and I am up at 7am to study. By the way, I am offering a reward to anyone who can figure out what 'substratum', 'superstratum' and 'adstratum' mean, cause I still can't get it!Preferably before Wednesday... thanks!

Day 24: Fire Alarm!

Today wasn't a very interesting day I have to admit, but I did have one unusual experience. This morning I woke up early to do some work and a few hours later Karl came to call me and I went to have breakfast in his flat. I decided to make myself a slice of toast and put it on the lowest possible, as I hate burnt toast. Anyway, I was chatting to Karl as I stood by the toaster and all of a sudden there was this deafening noise. I didn't know what it was at first and then as it got louder I suddenly noticed it was our fire alarm!! It must have been the toast but it wasn't burning, not even close. Anyway, I really panicked cause I imagined having a fire engine outside the door any second, this thing was really loud ! So we jumped up quickly on a chair and started fanning this thing, which of course, thanks to my God given height, I could not reach, till it finally stopped. It seemed like ages till it did but it was probably only a few minutes. We must have been a sight to see... I was jumping up and down on this chair waving a dish cloth in my hands and laughing my head off at the same time!! Oh well no fire engines thank god! Anyway, I studied for the rest of the day, went to mass and dinner and now I'm off to bed, ready to face yet another week of lectures... I can't believe I am saying that again!! Tomorrow I will have been on the island for three weeks already!! Crazy how time is flying!! Anyway tough week ahead of me with tests and assignments!

Day 23: Anne of Green Gables

Today was a really good day. I woke up this morning and started doing some work and went on and on till about 5pm, except for the half an hour I stopped for lunch. Then we went with Mrs.Baldacchino to watch the 'Anne of Green Gables' musical which is a huge thing over here, as she supposedly lived on this island. It was great, absolutely amazing. The singing, dancing, acting and scenery was brilliant. Afterwards we went to watch the usual Late Night Show. It was the last one of the season so it took a bit longer than usual, but it was great... pity it ended. Anyway I'm off to bed now cause I am dead tired. Goodnight !

Friday, September 22, 2006

Day 22: Studying!!

As you can see from the heading, today was a day full of studying, although I have to admit that there were a few 'intermissions'. This morning we went to do some grocery shopping since both Karl and I changed our meal plans so now we have to see to our own breakfast and supper so we went to buy some things. Then I went to do some studying and later on we went for lunch to an International Students gathering. It was really nice as we got to meet some other international students, some of which were from Austria, Syria and Jamaica. Then it was back to studying for me, but before I started that I got to speak to Lexi on msn cause she is back from her two months mission work! It was so great to speak to her and see her cause she has a web-cam!I have quite a few tests, assignments and presentations for next week so this weekend is going to be quite packed with work, but I don't mind. Tomorrow evening we are going to watch the 'Anne of Green Gables' musical; (for those of you who don't know, P.E.I is where she supposedly lived and she is very big here). It should be fun. Night Night.

Day 21: Moved House!

Today was an exciting day. I woke up this morning and went to my lectures and then I went back to my room to start my packing. Before doing so however, I checked my mailbox and I found a parcel from my mummy!! I was so happy and it was such a cool parcel!!! There were my favourite chocolate biscuits, juju's, twisties, party time, noodles, a card, a small book, and pop-corn!!! I was so happy. Anyway, I was on the phone telling her thank you when Angelique turned up at my house to pick up something and I spoke to her too, it was great talking to her!!! So then I moved and I love my flat... I haven't met my roommate yet but I have set up my room and I am really happy!! This evening Karl and I decided to have some retail therapy. We went and found the mall and I bought a few things, but I almost went crazy cause there are so many things and so cheap but I controlled myself!! Now I just watched CSI and I'm off to bed... a full day of work tomorrow. Anyway, on our way to the mall Karl and I went photo crazy, so here are a few of the pics we took, enjoy!!

Day 20: Last night in Bernardine!

Tomorrow I move... tonight will be my last night in Bernardine Hall...tomorrow I go to Blanchard and I can't wait! I will have my own room, bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. It should be much better, I hated being confined to just a bedroom, which was in itself not very nice. Anyway, I am really looking forward to meeting my roommate too. Today was my full day of lectures. I started at 8.20am and except for an hour off where I went for lunch I didn't stop till 9pm and now I am really tired. Tomorrow I have one lecture in the morning and then I will probably spend the rest of the afternoon moving and then hopefully studying casue I really need to work! Next week is going to be a killer of a week with tests, assginments, presentations and reading to do!! Oh well.. I hope I cope!!

Day 19: Great News!!

Today was very much of an ordinary day. I woke up and spent the morning doing some reading and research. I went to see about a few things regarding my courses and then at 12pm I went to mass. After that I met Karl who had lectures all morning and we went to lunch, and then back to reading till 3pm. At 3pm I had a lecture, and I thoroughly enjoyed it... it was about racism in the classroom and unfair advantages that students may have over others and how to deal with them. Anyway, then we went to do some shopping, as we were in need of some things. Honestly, anyone could live off the Dollarama, which is basically like our Tal-Lira, but so much more and so many nice things!! Anyhow, now comes the god bit. Now when I arrived here I really didnt like the room I was put in. I had applied to stay in another building which had apartments rather than just bedrooms. I had asked to be moved but there was no space for me. Anyhow,I was studying in Karl's living room earlier, when the door goes and it is the guy in charge of student accomodation who was looking for Karl's roommate. He sees me and asks if I was the one who had asked to move and I say yes. He tells me that a girl is leaving and if I wanted to I could have her apartment ... and to add to that, out of the 450 apartments in the building, it is the one right in front of Karl's room! I couldn't believe it, speechless. So... I will be 'moving house' next Thursday to a lovely apartment with my own bedroom and a roommate!! What fun!!

Day 18: Laundry Day

So today I started another full week of lectures. I am actually looking forward to it.. never thought I would say this but even though I have loads of work to do I am enjoying it. Life on this island gives you time to just take in what you are learning rather than just getting it over and done with and I like it. Anyway, I think, however, the highlight of today was doing my laudry. I finally got the card I needed to use the laundry as before I had to hand wash and it wasn't much fun. The whole experience started as exciting, turned into very worrying when I had to decide what to and what not to put in the tumble dryer, continued into anxious as I waited for them to finish and see if I had any doll sized clothes, and ended up in joy when I noticed that all was good and my clothes were safe. They came out so soft and warm... lovely!! For those of you who haven't caught on yet... this was my first time using a tumble dryer. Anyway now I am also very pleased with myself as I have just finished my first assignment here in Canada and I am rather 'chuffed' with myself. Have to go now it's late, and tomorrow lots more work to do, see ya!!

Sunday, September 17, 2006

Day 17: Cards

I decided to dedicate my Sundays to reading and today was no exception. I spent the morning and afternoon reading and then I went to six o'clock mass. I really enjoy this mass; it is on campus and the people that are there are students from the university and it so nice to meet them. We have cookies and juice afterwards to encourage some socialization and I think it is a really good idea. Anyway after dinner we didn't feel like doing more work so we sat down to play cards and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! Now we are watching Cheaper by the Dozen and then it's off to bed for another full week of lectures.... I can't believe it, two weeks tomorrow already!!!

Saturday, September 16, 2006

Day 16: Shellfish!

Oh my godness I'm exhausted! I just got back from a really enjoyable evening. I spent all morning and afternoon today reading and studying for next week. Then in the evening friends of ours invited us to an International Shellfish Festival and I ate mussels for the first time in my life and I actually liked them!! (The pic is Mike trying mussels for the first time ever!!) It was god fun, with shellfish eating competitions and all this different type of sea food. Later on we went to the late night show; same as the one we went to last Saturday. Once again it was really nice. The singers were great and the songs they sang were brilliant!! Anyway it's off to bed for me now cause another full day of study tomorrow!

Friday, September 15, 2006

Day 15: Maltese Night

I just got back from a traditional Maltese food night. The Maltese lecturer here invited us over for dinner and everything we had was Maltese. It was really good and made us feel very much at home. There is also a Gozitan doing her masters here and she came too so we were six Maltese... really nice. We had bigilla, qaghaq tal-ghasel, qubbajd, gbejniet, and then rabbit... rabbit and spaghetti, and then ice-cream with blueberries and strawberries. It was great. I spent the day doing loads of reading cause there is so much to do, now I'll try and have an early night cause lots to do tomorrow! I am going to an international sea shell festival... should be interesting!

Thursday, September 14, 2006

Day 14: Irish!

Today was a good day. I woke up to go to my 8.20am lecture which I found very interesting, and then I spent the rest of the day studying and doing some of the reading I have for next week. This evening we went out with some of our friends to an Irish pub and there was an Irish band playing and they were great! The people were all dancing and singing away and the atmosphere was just brilliant .... I loved it! The people we were with were really nice too. They are the ones I keep mentioning that are going on exchange to Bologna and Greece next January. They're so friendly and it's great fun being with them. Anyway I'm off to bed now cause I am exhausted... I'll keep you posted!!

Day 13: Lectures! Exhausted!

Today was one of those days where I seem to have sat down at 8.30 am for lectures and got up again at 9pm... which is not very far from reality. I had ten and a half hours of lectures today and believe me it was a real killer! They were however very interesting and I did learn loads of new things... which is what, after all, I am here for. I really like their teaching styles, it is discussion based more than anything else and the time passes much faster. I am too tired to do any work now and tomorrow I have lectures at 8.30 am again so I want an early night. We are going out tomorrow evening to an Irish pub with the exchange students I met last week and it should be fun! Anyway I will keep you posted... night night!

Photos!

These are the Rustico cliffs, which, every year crumble further inwards due to the waves crashing on them in the Winter.
Admiring the beautiful scenery of one of the valleys we went to.

A small fishing lake next to Cavendesh.

These are a few pictures from our sight-seeing day last Saturday. Since Karl has finally managed to get internet in his room, I am now able to upload pictures... so here you are guys!!! The guy in the blue T-shirt is Brent, the exchange student who is coming to Malta next January. These are a few of the beautiful places we saw that day... enjoy!

Day 12: Loads of work to do!

Today I had my first lecture within the education department and I thoroughly enjoyed it! First of all, the setting of the room was already enough to show me that this was going to be different. There were small tables scattered round the rooms with a few chairs around each. The lecture was in fact more of a discussion as we all sat round these tables for three hours, watching parts of videos, reading articles and discussing. The topic of the lecture was 'Different Cultures and Society in the Classroom' and honestly there is so much I learnt in those three hours. The lecture was in the afternoon however, so I had all morning to myself and I really enjoyed it. I just sorted out a few things and did some reading and then calmly went for lunch and then lectures. The calmness of this island is really giving me a chance to just be and enjoy just being... an idea I would have hated till a week ago, but now I love it. Anyway after lectures Karl and I needed to do some shopping so we went to this huge Super Store and oh my goodness I almost went crazy!! There were so many beautiful things food, accessories, clothes and gadgets, I had a hard time resisting... oh the hardships of being a student! Anyway now I am going to settle down to some reading, I have two assignments for next week. Tomorrow I have a full day of lectures, from 8.30 am to 9.00 pm!

Public Announcement!

I hereby make it known that on Day 10 of this public journal of my study vacation on the Island of Prince Edward, I did not make my true intentions clear. In the last few lines of the entry where I referred to "my dear dear Aunty Pamela and Uncle Peter Best",I seem to have been incorrectly understood. "Dear dear" was referring to both My Aunty Pamela as well as my Uncle Peter Best. I was not for a moment thinking that one was dearer than the other, so please Uncle Peter accept my heartfelt apologies and know that you are always so very dear to my heart. Love you :)

Day 11: Back to school

Today I started my first full week of lectures. I have just finished the last one and I am honestly exhausted. I am determined to do well and I am putting so much concentration into the lectures that I am drained. Now that I have finished I am off to dinner and then I am going to do some more reading for the next few lectures this week. They have a really good system here where they give you a sheet with the readings for the whole semster lecture by lecture and like that you go to the lecture ready read up! Anyway as I said earlier on I wanted to put up a photo of my many travels this weekend but I could not. Karl managed to put his on the computer and has kindly donated to me the only digital photo with me in it so there you are... we are at this beach called Argyle Beach and I think it is absolutely beautiful, full of sand dunes to make it look so picturesque. Anyway if I manage to put any more on the computer I will definately post them.

Day 10: Reading!

I have to say that today was not a very exciting day, however it wasn't a bad one either. I woke up for breakfast and then went to do some of the plenty of reading I have to do for tomorrow and then I went for lunch. After lunch I discovered how to put my pics onto my laptop, and so now I am hoping to put them on CD and then transfer them on to my blog that way... so you might actually see some pics eventually!! Anyway after that was done, I continued to do some more reading and now we just came back from 6pm mass. I felt so much at home! There were about 20 people, all young and they were singing all the songs we sing at Y4J and I was so happy, singing away like never before! Then afterwards they set up a table with cookies (irresistible) and juice for us to spend some time chatting so I got to speak to some people. Now I just popped in to update my blog and I'm back off to read some more, go for dinner and then maybe watch a film on T.V or something... a full week of lectures as of tomorrow! My mum told me today that my dear dear Aunty Pamela and Uncle Peter Best in England read my blog everyday to see how I am getting on so Hiiiiiii!!! I miss you all so much and can't wait to see you ....soon I hope. Big big kiss!!!

Day 9: Sight seeing!!

Today was a really lovely day. I woke up a bit later than usual cause I was quite tired and after breakfast I did some studying and then went to lunch. After lunch Karl and I went to the 'Future Shop' as he wanted to buy a new lap top and then we got picked up by Brent, the guy who is coming to Malta on exchange next semester. He took us around half the island and my goodness what a beautiful island this is! The first place he took us to was called 'Rustico' and it is a beautiful town by the sea, with the most amazing beach! I took some pictures there with my camera to put on the blog but the computer at the university won't allow me to put them on so I found a picture on the internet which is just as beautiful. Then he took us to see more beaches and cliffs and everywhere you go by the sea there are sand dunes which make the place look so picturesque. We had a lovely afternoon driving around, stopping to take pictures and looking around. In the evening we were invited to one of the other students going on exchange next semester. She was having a house party and invited us over and I really enjoyed meeting her friends and telling them all about Malta... they were so interested! Then just as we thought things were over, the other guy,(as there are three going on exchange) Mike, told us that he was going to watch a late night show in town. Basically it is when all the famous actors and singers of the town get together and have an evening of fun improvisation together and you go to the restaurant at the theatre with a small stage, and you sit round tables with a glass of wine (sprite in my case) and watch them and have a good laugh, but you also listen to some really good singing. I really enjoyed it, they were so good, and we were invited to go next Saturday as there are only two more evenings left before the season closes. On the whole it was a really great day, and the three of them already have loads of other things planned for us to do so I can't wait!

Day 8: New Friendships

Today was a nice day. I thought it was going to be really boring because I had no lectures and nothing to do except study, but it turned out quite nice. Karl and I spent the morning studying and went to 12pm mass which was really nice cause there were only six people and we really felt part of the mass. Then we went for lunch and and continued to study till about 3pm. At 4pm we were invited to a lecturers house to meet some of the Canadian students who will be going on exchange next semester within the same project we are in. One of them is coming to Malta and we really enjoyed chatting to him and telling him all about Malta. It was a really lovely afternoon. We were in the back garden, sitting on the deck with cheese and fruit platters, just chatting and getting to know eachother. One of the girls invited us to a house party tomorrow evening, something I am really looking forward to and Brent (the guy coming to Malta) offered to take us sightseeing tomorrow afternoon... I can't wait!! Finally we are making friends and I am so so happy! This evening we have nothing much to do so Karl and I decided to stay home and watch a movie. Anyway I'm off now, I'll tell you all about my full day tomorrow as soon as possible!!

Thursday, September 07, 2006

Day 7: Different!!

Today was quite a varied day; unlike one I have had here before. Not because there was anything special but simply because it was different. I woke up this morning and Karl had lectures while I had nothing so I had the morning to myself. We went to breakfast and then I went off to get some more paper work done and it's almost ready now! Then I went back to my room and finished off all the sorting out I had to do... my suitcases are now empty and everything has a place making my room look a bit more homey thank God! At twelve I remembered there was mass at a small chapel we have on campus and I went there. There were four people and the priest and they made me feel so welcome. Then I went to meet Karl and we had lunch and then went to his apartment to study. I have to admit that it wasn't very successful but at least we tried and tomorrow we will work. We then went to the Future Shop cause Karl wants a laptop and we saw many good deals and now we just got back from a huge party we had called 'Back to school bash' where a band called 'The Trews' played and I am still deaf from the music but they were good. Now I am off to bed as I am rather tired and I do want to do some work tomorrow. Hope you are all well... keep me in your thoughts!

Day 6: Interesting!

Today I started my lectures in the afternoon. I woke up feeling much better this morning and I had a good night sleep which I hadn't had in a while. Last night I stayed up a bit trying to sort out my room and make it a bit more homey. For those of you who don't know I didn't manage to change my room so I have to stay in the single room for the next four months, so I am going to try and make the most of it. This morning Karl and I did a bit of running around for some more paper work and last minute shopping before lectures start. Then I went for lectures and the lecturers are so nice. The three I had today were History (which I have to take because of the exchange project I am in ), English and Theology. The history lecture was quite interesting, and oh my the english lecturer is crazy!! She came in shouting because she was happy her husband was cooking dinner tonight and then gave us a book list and left. The theology lecture was really interesting, it's called 'Christianity in dialogue with other religions' and I really enjoyed listening. Now I'm off to dinner and then there is a games night on at the campus bar so we'll see what that is all about. Tomorrow I have no lectures so I'll begin my reading cause there is loads to do!!

Tuesday, September 05, 2006

Day 5: Hard

This home sickness thing is really hitting me. I never thought I would feel like this. I woke up this morning and set off with a friend of mine to do all the paper work that needed to be done and get some shopping in like groceries etc... Then I managed to find this internet service and that's how I'm updating my blog. We are off to lunch soon and then I don't know what we are going to do tonight, we'll see. Lessons start tomorrow and then I guess things will get better. Till then... miss you loads guys!!!

OK before I go to bed... After lunch I spent most of the afternoon looking around the shops and talking on the phone to a few people who were trying to make me think straight. Then I went for dinner and afterwards Karl and I went to do some shopping and I bought a wire so finally I will have internet in my room and my washing stuff for my clothes!! The highlight of this evening however, was going to Subway for the carton of milk we were both dying for ... it was lovely. Poor Karl, it was his birthday today and we didn't manage to do much.
P.S: Karl is the other Maltese who came up with me to P.E.I, and thank God for him cause I would be lost otherwise!

Monday, September 04, 2006

Day 4: Ammmm...

Today I got to the island. We finally made it. We got to the uni and I found my room... it's ok but to be honest I am feeling really really home sick. I am going to try and change my room to an apartment so that maybe I'll have a room mate. In the meantime I hope to settle down and stop feeling so home sick. Have to go now I'll try write more tomorrow. Big kiss to you all!! xxx

Day 3: Relaxing

Today was quite a relaxing day. I woke up to go to 11am mass with a friend, and the mass was quite nice. The priest was polish and enjoyed telling stories and saying jokes throughout the mass which gave it a bit of a twist. Afterwards we went to the cinema to watch the film 'World Trade Centre'... my goodness what an experience to see the perspective of those who were actually trapped inside the tower. Later on we went home and had rabbit for dinner which was really really good and made me feel so much at home. Now I have to start my packing as tomorrow I'm off to P.E.I to start the next part of my big adventure.

Saturday, September 02, 2006

Day 2: Delicious

I have to say that the main highlight of today was the food. I woke up to a dark and cold morning and soon after it began to pour. I had a lovely breakfast of fruit and bagels and later on we went to a huge shopping mall called the 'Pen Centre' where I did some shopping and then sat down for some frozen yogurt... Absolutely delightful! There were all sorts, from sugar free, to energy boost, to probiotics and loads more. I, of course, had the 'sugar full' raspberry and banana one and it was great! We then went on to looking round shops and I finally got my mobile network settings fixed so I can now send and receive messages. At around 7pm we decided we were hungry and went for dinner to this very elegant restaurant called 't' by the river, and I had a lovely dinner of warm pear and legume soup and Sirloin steak with puree potatoes. Now we are back home and are about to cuddle up to a good movie while the rain continues to poor outside. Perfect!

Day 1: Great!

Today was my first day in Canada and it was lovely! I arrived late last night, exhausted after 13 hours of travelling, but I made it. I had a really relaxing day, eating out by the pool, chatting with friends, and this evening we went to watch a great acrobat and horse circus called Avaia. It really was beautiful and the acrobats were something out of this world! To top it all off we had a lovely dinner at a restaurant near by and went for a nice walk before going back home. Now I'm off to bed cause I'm exhausted. Goodnight!
