Eight weeks or 56 days to relief!

Heh... yes I am already counting. The countdown is to when teaching practice is over. One may ask.... "if she is studying to become a teacher and do this for the rest of her life, why is she wanting the teaching to be over?". Well... it's different. For starters I hardly know anything about the school, I haven't had much teaching training, it's a difficult school, I am only there for six weeks so not too easy to build a proper relatioship with the students and well basically... I am scared, plain and simple scared. So there... 56 days to relief. I still have lectures and exams after that but still, not oo bad. Anyway, since my last blog I had lectures... they were ok, went for a meeting to the school and was told my classes and stuff but still have to meet with the teachers to discuss the work. Last Saturday I went to the St.Aloysious soiree which was good in some parts, average in other, and terrible when it came to the Italian play. I am sorry but honestly, it just didn't work for me. Oh well, it was fun though. Ashley, my friend from Canada came and she laughed her head off, although whether it was due to misery or enjoyment I have no idea. The soiree was complimented with Simon happily doodling his way through the night, Miguel and Lara passing all sorts of remarks, Matthew slitting his wrists with the programme given to us, Andrew listening to his MP3 player, and well... myself sort of trying to watch and listen to everyone and clapped when necessary. Afterwards we went to Melita for a drink... to the wine bar where no one had one but beer. It was nice though, good relaxation. Sunday went to mass and lunch with me mum and nana and in the afternoon I had a rehearsal for a talent show we are putting up next Saturday... hehe I'm comparing (sort of)... we'll see how that turns out. In the meantime I am working on my thesis, preparing lessons, going to the gym and jazz and well basically... working.

They grow so quickly...

I was just talking to my cousin on the phone today and while we were chatting he sent me this picture of his daughter Jamie... remember I 'announced' her birth on the 1st November '06, well she is now two months old and growing fast as you can see. At least with this one I can see her often not like all the others who live abroad... but I'll soon get to see those too ... can't wait for the wedding in May. Anyway, in the meantime I am preparing for my teaching practice and doing some other work which needs to be done for my lectures too. Temperatures are dropping here, I am feeling more and more cold. I just hope it won't get worse... brrrr.

It's getting closer...

Today is Monday the 5th of February and in exactly three weeks time I start my long awaited teaching practice. Today I found out which school I am going to be teaching in and after two years of boys I now have a girls government school... good, bad.... don't know yet... I'll let you know when I begin. Ah I'm scared, yet excited... ah.
Anyway, last I wrote here was on Thursday. Since then I have been one more time to the gym :) gone out for a bite to eat with my friends, on Saturday I had a birthday party of a friends of mine Mark... Happy Birthday and I have to say I quite enjoyed myself... I danced most of the night and chatted for the rest. Yesterday (Sunda) I decided to take it a bit easy, as I started lectures again this week and didn't want to start already tired, so I just went to mass adn then to lunch with my dear mum and gran. Spent the rest of they day working on a presentation. I am rather proud of myself actually I got through two long ones this weekend... yey for me !:) In the evening, after I finished everthing I sat down to watch one of my favourite programmes, Amici. For all my British readers... who I hope are still reading!!! it is an Italian version of the FAME academy but it has acting and dancing too. We are in the final sessions at the moment. Sadly though the blues won and Roberta has left us... Oh well another week of lectures ahead of me... I'll write soon!

They're out to kill me... I know it.

Let's see, the last time I wrote in here was about four days ago, since then I have come to the decision that most of the people who I am currently depending on are out to kill me. First there's university. It has taken me so long to try and get everything sorted out after my exchange and every time I think I've managed they remember there is that tiny bit of information they forgot to tell me... which sets things back days!! I mean honestly, they seem to have the impression that I can do miracles and get things from Canada within a day. Anyway, now apparently there was a big meeting on Wednesday to decide my fate but I have to wait till Monday to find out! Ok... next. Gym. I am currently going to the gym twice a week to try and remove all the rubbish I was made to eat whilst in Canada and my insructors seem bent on turning me into this strong muscle woman... and I'm not. *sniff* I simply asked if they would help me lose weight and instead they have decided they are going to go all they way, and honestly, when I say I can't do another weight lift it means I can't just because they say 'come on... five more' doesn't give me the strength I need! Oh well. What else? Though there was more.... hmmm I guess there aren't that many then out to get me. So anyway, this week has been one of those weeks where I spent the mornings and afternoons working on my thesis and in the evening I either had jazz, gym, went to visit Brent and Ashley or like yesterday I went to Angelique's house to discuss a dance for 4given (a TV programme being put up in Summer) Hehe... for all of you who have ever been to her house... have any of you ever tried doinga 180 degree u-turn in that tiny road leading to her house? The one just outside the drive. I did yesterday... and if you haven't tried it yet, don't. I now know that a 2m wide road is not meant for u-turns... even though I did manage... after about 15 mins!! Anyway... better get back to my thesis... speak to you soon!
